Who are we looking for?

We are currently seeking a Junior Accounting Clerk for an existing vacancy within our Financial Services department. This position will require you to provide support to our Head office in London. The Junior Accounting Clerk will provide accounting and administrative support to the Finance team. This role is responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting various accounting functions within the firm. This role is ideal for an individual who is organized, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in accounting within a professional services environment.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
• Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience (2+ years) is preferred
• Experience working in a legal, professional services, or corporate environment is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Process cash receipts/payments
• Prepare daily bank deposits
• Enter financial data accurately into accounting software
• Prepare and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures
• Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries/requests
• Perform filing, scanning, and document management tasks
• Review invoice and expense reports for accuracy
• Support other accounting and administrative duties, as assigned
