Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Supervisor is responsible for the key functional tasks specific to the Finance and Administrative operations. The successful candidate will oversee and complete:
- Accounts receivable and payable management
- Monthly/ Fiscal reconciliation of accounts
- Critical Ministry reporting and remittances
- Financial audits and analytical financial tracking/ trends
- Provide leadership and supervise members of the administration team monitoring performance and ensuring the team is following policies and procedures
- Serve as a role model to others by demonstrating a respectful and positive attitude
- Back-up for the Finance Director as well as the Finance Assistant
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Finance and/or Post-secondary Education in a related field with minimum of three (3) years' experience in finance.
- Previous experience in SAGE, ACCPAC or other recognized accounting system(s) would be an asset
- Excellent computer skills in Excel, as well as other MS Office programs is required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills are required
- Proven ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information
- Proven ability to be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple and competing tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently
- Strong leadership and development skills
- Police Check including Vulnerable Screening will be required at time of hire
- Wage scale - $30.09 to $32.01/ hour
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
