Solution Architect - Infrastructure

Systematix is currently seeking a Solution Architect – Infrastructure to support a large enterprise organization’s Intelligent Networks & Infrastructure team. This senior-level role will provide infrastructure architecture expertise across enterprise technology initiatives, including servers, storage, networking, cloud platforms, and data center environments.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Systematix is supporting a large enterprise infrastructure modernization program focused on strategic planning, architecture, and implementation of core infrastructure technologies. The successful candidate will serve as a senior infrastructure architect, providing technical leadership and solution design expertise across network, compute, storage, cloud, and data center initiatives.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, infrastructure specialists, and vendors to design scalable, secure, and supportable infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational technology standards and long-term strategic objectives.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead infrastructure architecture activities for enterprise technology initiatives
• Develop Conceptual Solution Designs (CSDs), Detailed Solution Designs (DSDs), and Technical Specification Documents (TSDs)
• Provide expertise across server, storage, networking, cloud, and data center technologies
• Design secure, scalable, resilient, and supportable infrastructure solutions
  Evaluate business and technical requirements and translate them into infrastructure architecture recommendations
• Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
• Provide infrastructure consulting, technical guidance, and architecture governance support
• Develop infrastructure roadmaps, standards, and best practices
  Assess solution options, risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations
  Support infrastructure planning, discovery activities, and enterprise modernization initiatives
• Ensure infrastructure designs align with operational, security, compliance, and business requirements
• Participate in architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical decision-making processes
• Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategies, including Azure-based solutions
  Produce high-quality architecture documentation and technical deliverables

REQUIREMENTS – Must-Have

• 10+ years of experience providing IT infrastructure expertise and infrastructure solution architecture
• Demonstrated Solution Architecture experience within complex enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in Cisco networking technologies
• Experience with enterprise server infrastructure, storage platforms, and data center technologies
• TOGAF certification or equivalent integrated infrastructure architecture experience
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions involving network, compute, storage, data center, and hybrid cloud environments
• Experience producing architecture and design documentation including CSD, DSD, and TSD deliverables
• Strong stakeholder engagement, consulting, and communication skills

REQUIREMENTS – Nice-to-Have

• Experience within utility, energy, or other highly regulated industries
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Familiarity with IBM infrastructure platforms and technologies
• Experience supporting large-scale hybrid cloud deployments
• Knowledge of infrastructure governance frameworks and architecture review processes
• Experience supporting critical infrastructure environments

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan
Work Arrangement: offsite with periodic onsite visits
Planned Start Date: July 6, 2026
Planned End Date: March 31, 2029
Duration: Approximately 33 months
Guaranteed Utilization: 100%

PAY DISCLOSURE

Intermediate Infrastructure Solution Architect (5–10 years): $95–$115/hr
Senior Infrastructure Solution Architect (10+ years): $115–$145/hr

Compensation is commensurate with experience and market conditions.
