Director of Pain Management at McGill

Lead innovative pain management education and research at McGill University as the Director of the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit. This full-time position offers an opportunity to shape clinical practices and academic initiatives. The McGill University Department of Anesthesia seeks a full-time Associate or Full Professor (Clinical) to oversee pain management at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). As the Director, you will manage the multidisciplinary operations of the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit while engaging in teaching, research, and administration. Your contributions will enhance clinical excellence and education within this respected institution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multidisciplinary clinical activities of the AEPMU
  • Manage resource allocation for sustainability
  • Enhance pain management content in medical education
  • Promote and lead research activities in pain management
  • Collaborate with university and health care partners
Requirements:
  • MD degree with Quebec licensure eligibility
  • Certified by Royal College of Physicians
  • Experience in clinical and educational settings
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bilingual skills in French and English preferred
