Aperçu
En tant qu’opérateur·trice de détecteurs électroniques maritimes, vos principales responsabilités incluent :
- Localiser et identifier les radars inconnus
- Se tenir à l’écoute des communications émanant de sous-marins, de navires, d’aéronefs et d’installations à terre
- Recourir aux canons et aux lance-missiles pour défendre le navire
- Recueillir des renseignements et des éléments de preuve

Ce poste s'apparente aux métiers suivants :
- Opérateur·trice de détection électronique (Marine)
Pour pouvoir vous enrôler dans les FAC, vous devez :
- posséder la citoyenneté canadienne ou être résident permanent vivant au Canada
- avoir 18 ans (17 ans avec le consentement parental) ou plus, sauf pour :
- les programmes d’études subventionnées, pour lesquels vous devez être âgé de 16 ans (avec le consentement parental) ou plus
- la Première réserve, pour laquelle vous devez être âgé de 16 ans (avec le consentement parental) ou plus et être inscrit comme étudiant à temps plein
- avoir terminé une 10 année – ou un secondaire IV au Québec (certains emplois exigent un niveau de scolarité plus élevé)
Études requises
Ce poste exige que les candidat·e·s aient terminé au minimum leur 10e année ou leur 4e secondaire au Québec, conformément aux normes provinciales.
Il est possible que les études à l’étranger soient reconnues.
