Responsibilities
- Automation & Equipment Operation: Set up, monitor, and tend to state-of-the-art robotic cells and fixed automated systems.
- Process Tuning & Troubleshooting: Evaluate machine telemetry and adjust settings on-the-fly to manage material variations and maintain tight tolerance thresholds.
- Line Setups & Tooling Changes: Execute machine changeovers, safely operate overhead cranes for fixture resets, and initialize pre-programmed automated parameters.
- Quality Assurance: Execute rigorous quality inspections against defined technical specifications to ensure zero-defect production.
- Data & Traceability: Accurately log real-time metrics (scrap rates, downtime, output per hour, part traceability) within digital manufacturing execution systems.
- Pre-Shift & Safety Inspections: Conduct rigorous pre-operational checks on assigned work cells to guarantee equipment integrity and safety compliance prior to launch.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute feedback to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
- Workplace Standards: Perform routine cell maintenance, routine housekeeping, and material sorting to preserve site efficiency and safety.

Qualifications
- Industrial Background: Prior hands-on experience in a manufacturing, plant, or heavy industrial environment is required.
- Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and execute visual work instructions, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Automation Experience: Exposure to industrial robotics, automated lines, or continuous production systems is highly valued.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the mathematical and analytical skills needed to diagnose operational variances.
- Education: A post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant mechanical, electrical, or industrial discipline is preferred.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for recording operational metrics and collaborating with shift teams.
- Clearances & Compliance: Legally authorized to work in Canada with a clean criminal background check.
- Transportation: Access to reliable personal transportation is mandatory (site is not serviced by public transit).
