Quality Control Chemist

BIOVECTRA, now part of Agilent, seeks a Quality Control Chemist for full-time permanent work at the Windsor, Nova Scotia facility. The role involves performing analytical testing, maintaining laboratory records, and supporting method validation across multiple instrumental platforms in a contract manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical analyses using HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, PCR, electrophoretic, and ELISA assays
- Maintain accurate real-time documentation of laboratory activities and test results
- Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and record associated activities
- Complete data entry and paperwork for material release, including certificates of analysis
- Support analytical method validation and technical writing of standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Diploma from accredited Chemical Technology program
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred
- Hands-on experience with GC, HPLC, UV-VIS, PCR, or plate reader instrumentation
- Knowledge of cGMP guidelines
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts between day and night schedules
Compensation: $49,848–$77,888 CAD base annually plus bonus, stock, and benefits eligibility
