This strategic acquisition significantly expands TopGum’s manufacturing and technological capabilities, strengthening its position as a leading global provider of innovative gummy supplements
The Opportunity
Our Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in keeping all components of the production facility and production equipment operating safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
What Success Looks Like
- Production equipment is maintained in safe and efficient working order
- Preventative maintenance tasks are completed consistently and accurately documented
- Equipment downtime is minimized through proactive troubleshooting and repair
- Safety procedures and GMP standards are consistently followed
- Maintenance work areas remain organized, clean, and compliant
- Continuous improvement opportunities are identified and supported
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment
- Maintain all equipment through a preventative maintenance program and accurately log work within the CMMS system (Limble)
- Read, interpret, and follow operation manuals, instructions, and technical documentation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Read blueprints and sketches to fabricate equipment and complete modifications as required
- Repair and replace chains, conveyors, gearboxes, drive chains, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform welding, cutting, and utilize power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain HVAC systems, water softener systems, chiller units, and plant utilities
- Prioritize workplace safety in all work activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline maintenance processes
- Perform additional maintenance duties as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; related 2-year diploma preferred
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair experience within a manufacturing environment
- Food manufacturing experience considered an asset
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment, electromechanical systems, and controls preferred
- Strong understanding of maintenance tools, equipment, and best practices
- Experience within GMP, food manufacturing, meat processing, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- Ability to work shift schedules including nights, weekends, and overtime as required
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with electrical systems, HVAC systems, and chiller systems considered an asset

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to:
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, reach, pull, and walk regularly
- Work around moving mechanical equipment
- Work in environments with elevated noise levels and exposure to industrial materials
- Lift 25+ pounds overhead
- Stand for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours
