Our Client is seeking someone with at least one year of hands-on experience across both areas to support their growing team, with exposure to Commercial matters considered a strong asset. The ideal candidate is also someone who is comfortable handling a busy file load of approximately eighty (80) active Tort and Accident Benefits matters, with the ability to stay organized, efficient, and on top of competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.This role offers a structured hybrid work model, beginning with in-office training before transitioning into a flexible schedule of one day per week in office. Salary: $45K+ (Based on Experience)

Location: Markham (Hybrid Remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of Accident Benefits and Tort files from intake through to resolution
• Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and forms
• Communicate with clients, insurers, counsel, and third parties as required
• Organize and maintain both electronic and physical file systems
• Prepare and manage documentation for hearings, mediations, and settlements
• Support lawyers with file preparation, including gathering medical records and other supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date file notes and case management entries
• Manage deadlines, calendars, and scheduling related to active files
• Assist with general administrative duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury law
• Experience in commercial matters is an asset
• Experience handling both Accident Benefits and Tort matters is required
• Strong understanding of personal injury processes and file progression
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Completion of a Law Clerk diploma or equivalent is an asset
• Strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality
