Job Title: Project Scheduler II

Location: Calgary, AB / Edmonton, AB

Pay Rate: CAD$45-50/hr on T4 or CAD$50-55/hr on INC

Duration: 12+ Months Contract -Possible extension/conversion

Work Model: Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday and Friday remote)

Position Summary

The Project Scheduler II is responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and driving updates to a defined set of key project milestones across a portfolio of projects. This role works closely with project managers and cross-functional stakeholders to gather updates, validate timelines, and ensure milestone schedules accurately reflect project execution plans.

This position focuses on maintaining milestone-based schedules rather than developing highly detailed project schedules. The successful candidate will help improve schedule visibility, consistency, reporting, and decision-making across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development, update, and maintenance of standardized project milestones across multiple projects

• Engage with project managers, engineering, construction, procurement, and other stakeholders to obtain schedule updates

• Drive ownership and accountability for milestone updates across project teams

• Ensure schedules reflect current execution strategies, project risks, and scope changes

• Maintain and update schedule data using Primavera P6

• Promote adoption and effective use of milestone schedules across execution teams

• Provide regular reporting on milestone status, critical dates, risks, and schedule variances

• Support analytics and reporting activities using Excel and Power BI

• Identify opportunities to improve milestone tracking, reporting, and scheduling effectiveness

• Support project execution teams by ensuring scheduling processes remain practical and valuable

• Adapt to changing project and portfolio requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or a related discipline

• Working knowledge of Primavera P6

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders

• Ability to proactively drive updates and completion of deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools

• Understanding of project lifecycle and key project execution milestones
