I am a single mom to a wonderful, curious, and active 16-month-old daughter, and I’m looking for an experienced, trustworthy, and kind childcare provider to join us in our home in Collingwood. I work from home and am hoping to find someone who feels like a natural extension of our family. ⸻ Must-Haves
- Minimum 10 years of childcare experience, including at least 5 years with toddlers
- Current CPR-C certification
- Vulnerable Sector Screening completed within the last year
- Exceptional professional references (that I may speak with directly)
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communicator
- Calm presence
- Reliable and punctual
- Receptive to feedback and collaborative
- Engaging, enthusiastic, and playful—while also calm and confident when setting boundaries
- Highly safety-conscious
- Comfortable with outdoor play in all seasons
- I work in HR and have experience across multiple industries, including engineering, mental health, and corporate childcare
- You can expect consistent respect, kindness, and open communication from me
- I will be working from home and available if needed, while fully respecting your role and space during the day
- I’ll be honest—I’m a bit nervous, as this is my first time having someone outside of family care for my daughter
- I value a clean, calm, and organized home environment
- I welcome your input on development, routines, and activities
- A confident, independent little explorer
- Loves riding her bike, reading books, and waving at dogs
- Childcare-focused role (no housekeeping beyond basic food prep for my daughter)
- Starting with occasional care, transitioning to part-time, and eventually full-time by mid-September (timing is flexible)
- Permanent part-time is also an option as long as it’s 20 hours per week minimum
- Guaranteed hours once a consistent schedule is established
- Free parking in driveway
- Fenced private backyard and a great playground across the street
- $25–$30/hour, depending on experience and fit
- Paid vacation and stat holidays (to be discussed)
