food truck cashier

Job Responsibility:

Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Truck Staff to join our growing team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and enjoy providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our food truck team, you will be responsible for answering phones, taking customer orders, accepting cash, debit, credit payments, use Point of Sale system. double checking orders and confirming the right orders are going to right customer, and when not busy are expected to help cook sauce burgers , get takeout trays ready with coleslaw, wax papers or other garnishes. Start of day will include stocking the areas with pop, sauces, portion cups, cutlery packs or anything else needed for the day. At the end of day you will be responsible for cleaning counters, dishes, sweeping and mopping floors and removal of garbage. this will position will require team effort and excellent communication sense most days there will only be two people working at a time!

Responsibilities

• greet customers and assist with orders and handing out the food.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food truck, equipment, and utensils.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure safe food handling practices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.

Skills

• Experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
• Communication
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and presentation of food items.
• Willingness to help others and contribute positively to the team atmosphere.

Job Types: Part-time, SeasonalContract length: 5 months

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
