If you have an eye for detail and find satisfaction in doing a task well, we encourage you to apply to our merchandising position!We are currently seeking a Merchandiser in Timmins, Ontario.Bloomworks Merchandising (formerly CMS) is a third party merchandising company in the live goods (plants) industry operating across Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes. We service several big box retailers by merchandising plants in their indoor and outdoor garden centres.Job Summary Merchandisers are responsible for the care and presentation of the live goods in the local retail stores Responsible for completing online reports (including pictures) through a free mobile app. Merchandisers are responsible for the visual display and integrity of our products as well as pricing and inventory management. Specific Skills / Abilities Physical work - able to lift 50 lbs Standing/Working for long periods of time Fast-paced environment; Repetitive tasks Handling, pulling and lifting heavy loads at times. This is a physically demanding job. A friendly presence as you will be expected to establish positive relationships with store staff and customers. The ability to follow direction and have a keen eye for attention to detail. Comfortable working independently Qualification Requirements Smart phone required, regular usage (email/phone/photos, etc.) Safety-toed shoes or boots required (steel or composite) for duration of shift Flexibility with work hours and to adapt to the needs of the business, including the willingness to work on weekends during busy spring season Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada Who you are Have an interest in plants, flowers, trees, horticulture, landscape, arboriculture, retail, floral design, agriculture, environmental studies. Garden centre or landscaping experience would be an asset.
