About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of three of our Northern Ontario stores. You'll lead a team of Budtenders and Keyholders while ensuring compliance, driving sales, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. The Senior Store Manager (SSM) is responsible for the daily operations and overall success of two or more retail locations , directly overseeing sales, compliance, inventory, team development, and customer service. This role ensures the continuous, efficient functioning of the storeby stepping in when needed,
The SSM plays a critical, hands-on leadership role within the organization, bridging the gap between the store-level team and the Regional Manager. This role is distinguished from a Regional Manager by its store-level execution focus and daily presence on the floor, rather than overseeing multiple locations or developing regional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Continuity
- Ensure the continuous daily operation of the store through active floor presence.
- Step in to cover shifts when team members are unavailable due to illness, absence, or emergency.
- Implement and enforce company SOPs , AGCO compliance protocols, and health & safety procedures.
- Oversee opening/closing procedures , cash handling, and in-store scheduling.
- Maintain cleanliness, comfort, and organization of the store environment.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor Budtenders, Keyholders, and Store Managers (if applicable).
- Ensure adherence to company values, performance expectations, and policies.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, ongoing training, and development plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, positivity, and performance .
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance recognition.
Sales & Financial Oversight
- Execute local store strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor and control store-level labor budgets , shrink, and operating expenses.
- Review and respond to sales KPIs, including basket size, conversion rate, and transaction value.
- Implement store-level marketing initiatives and drive upselling behavior.
Customer Experience
- Champion a customer-first culture and lead by example.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Train and coach team members on delivering consistent, compliant guest service.
- Collect and act on customer feedback to improve service delivery.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Manage inventory levels, weekly/monthly audits, and AGCO compliance records.
- Ensure accurate receiving, handling, and storage of cannabis products.
- Execute merchandising standards, promotional displays, and planogram resets.
- Report variances and work with inventory team to resolve discrepancies.
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate daily objectives, updates, and team expectations clearly.
- Liaise with the Regional Manager on store performance, staffing, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for AGCO and internal audits.
- Foster open-door communication and direct staff to support resources as needed.

What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of management experience in retail, hospitality, or cannabis
- Valid CannSell certification and ability to pass a criminal background check
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate, coach, and manage high-performing teams
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and POS/cash systems
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform routine store upkeep
