Sport Chek Soft Goods Manager Position

Join Sport Chek as the Soft Goods Department Manager located in Courtenay, BC. Excel in a role that combines your passion for sports and leadership in a vibrant retail setting. As a full-time Department Sales Manager, you will develop your team while focusing on customer satisfaction and sales growth in the soft goods division. Your responsibilities will include coaching team members, setting objectives, and maintaining high visual merchandising standards. You will also ensure a positive work culture by mentoring staff and encouraging open communication. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop performance improvement plans for team members
- Manage daily sales planning and execution
- Communicate effectively through team meetings
- Uphold merchandising and presentation standards
- Build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues
- A minimum of 2 years retail experience, supervisory preferred
- Demonstrated success in driving customer service
- Interest in sports and an understanding of the industry
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- Focused on creating a positive team environment
