Scope of Position

Hatch’s industrial clients across metals & mining, infrastructure, and energy are accelerating their digital transformation agendas. Central to this transformation is the deployment of integrated digital capabilities spanning Integrated Operations, Digital Value Chains, Automation & Autonomy, Asset & Operational Intelligence, and AI led process control.

We are seeking a commercially astute, delivery-focused Digital Consulting Leader with mining industry and operations experience who combines entrepreneurial Digital Consulting Leadership combined with exceptional client & market-facing business development and delivery leadership & accountability. This role is responsible for originating, shaping, and leading the end-to-end delivery of digital engagements in the mining and metals sector, ensuring measurable value outcomes for our clients.

This is a hybrid “sell and deliver” leadership role requiring the ability to translate client needs into executable solutions, build high-performing teams, and be actively involved in managing successful delivery across complex engagements.

Core Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Business Development

• Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders across operations, technology, and executive leadership
• Identify, shape, and qualify opportunities aligned to client strategic priorities and Hatch Digital offerings
• Lead end to end pursuits, win-strategy reviews, including solution shaping, commercial structuring, proposal development, and deal closure
• Develop compelling business cases linked to operational value drivers, digital maturity, and transformation roadmaps
• Actively contribute to account planning, pipeline development, and growth strategy execution in collaboration with Key Account Managers and Digital Solution leaders

Solution Leadership & Delivery

• Take full accountability for successful delivery of digital engagements from inception through to benefits realisation
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex digital and operational transformation programs
• Ensure solutions are holistic and pragmatic, integrating people, process, and technology dimensions
• Define and govern delivery models, execution plans, and risk management frameworks
• Maintain oversight of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction
• Drive value realisation and measurable business outcomes, not just technology implementation

Thought Leadership & Market Presence

• Act as a market facing leader representing Hatch Digital across mining clients and industry forums, conferences, and client engagements
• Build Hatch’s brand eminence and credibility through insights, case studies, and practical digital transformation narratives and initiatives and use cases.
• Leverage and expand the Hatch ecosystem including industry experts, partners, and technology providers to drive innovation

Internal Leadership & Collaboration

• Collaborate across Hatch Business Units to co-create integrated solutions and cross-sell capabilities
• Lead and mentor teams, fostering delivery excellence, commercial acumen, and consulting capability
• Contribute to practice development, including methodologies, offerings, and capability uplift

Key Performance Deliverables

• Achievement of sales and revenue targets, including pipeline growth and conversion
• Successful delivery of digital engagements, measured by client outcomes, quality and satisfaction.
• Development of repeatable business and long-term client relationships
• Contribution to practice growth, including capability development and market positioning

Success Profile

Success in this role requires the ability to seamlessly integrate business development with delivery execution, including:

• Translating client challenges into commercially viable, deliverable solutions
• Leading programs that move beyond strategy into tangible operational and financial outcomes
• Balancing sales ambition with delivery realism, ensuring commitments are achievable and sustainable
• Operating as both a strategic advisor and hands-on delivery leader

As the Successful Candidate, You Will:

• Lead end to end consulting engagements, from opportunity identification through to delivery and value realisation
• Originate and close new business while ensuring strong delivery governance and execution excellence
• Develop client-centric solutions and execution strategies aligned to operational priorities
• Build and manage high-performing delivery teams, including internal specialists and external partners
• Drive account growth by delivering value and expanding client relationships
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders

You Bring to the Role:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in a relevant mining, engineering or computer science discipline.
• 9 to12 years’ experience, ideally within a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent advisory/delivery (environment focused on the mining and metals industry (e.g. METS).
• Demonstrated experience in both business development and delivery leadership of complex consulting engagements and multi-disciplinary projects
• Strong track record in selling and delivering digital/Industry solutions in industrial and operational environments with a focus on mining industry operations or mineral processing improvement.
• Deep understanding of one or more of the following in a mining and metals context:
• Operational Systems (MES/MOS), Control Systems, EAM
• IT/OT Integration, AI and APC
• Analytics, Optimisation, Automation or Solution Architecture of Digital Platforms
• Proven ability to operate across the full consulting lifecycle: diagnose, design, sell, deliver, and optimise
• Strong commercial acumen, including scoping, pricing, contracting, and margin management
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across technical, operational, and executive audiences
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver outcomes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Demonstrate proven project management and delivery of digital or AI led initiatives in the mining sector.

Base salary range: $115,000 - $168,000

At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
