Job Overview

Certified OPTMQ Technician – Clinical Laboratories 

As a Certified OPTMQ Technician for our Clinical Laboratories team at the Senneville location, you will be performing technical activities and follows directives from the study/phase plan and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

• Perform human blood draw 
• Perform the analysis of in vitro contracts in collaboration with Research Associates and Scientists.
• Perform the preparation and analysis of samples. 
• Perform the quality control procedure and maintenance on the different instruments. 
• Perform the activities in a timely fashion by adhering to preset schedules.
• Use a computer system for accurate and detailed data collection.
• Participate in training. 
• Ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies requirements by performing the activities according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Standard Operating Procedure and health and safety rules. 

If you have the following qualifications , we'll train you for the rest: 

• Diploma of College Studies in Biomedical Laboratory Technology;
• OPTMQ Certification 
• Reading and writing English is required. Bilingualism is preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of computers. 
• Ability to work under time constraint and adapt to change.
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work independently.

Role Specific Information:

• Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1
• Transportation: We offer a shuttle service from Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. In addition, the site is accessible from the Anse-à-l’Orme REM station via STM bus services. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station
• Annual bonus based on performance;
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:15.
• Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week;
• Salary: $28.25/hr.
