Opportunity

Stantec is seeking an integrated Architecture & Engineering professional for Northern Canada to collaborate on fiscally responsible, award-winning designs. As a key contributor, you will assist clients through planning and creation stages, innovate with sustainable products, lead design proposals, maintain the building information model (BIM), manage outputs, mentor colleagues, and work with stakeholders. Candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to Yellowknife, Whitehorse, or Iqaluit. Relocation assistance is available. Willingness to travel to small communities for assessments is required. Key Responsibilities

Manage complex tasks on multiple large-scope projects. Participate in interviews and help win new work. Plan, organize, and direct work throughout the project life cycle. Keep Principals informed of progress, expectations, deadlines, and deliverables. Assist in negotiation and development of project agreements. Develop and manage project budget, schedule, and overall work plan. Mentor assistant Project Managers and motivate project teams. Ensure Project Management Framework tasks are completed and documented. Lead project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Manage and track change orders, contractor payment applications, and contractual modifications. Conduct senior peer review of deliverables, including building condition assessments and tender documents. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to determine staffing needs. Travel to small communities for building condition assessments or construction progress reviews. Direct client invoicing and manage collections. Capabilities and Credentials

Extensive experience supporting teams in winning work via proposal responses. Ability to support multiple Principals on concurrent projects. Proficiency in preparing design and building condition assessment reports. Deep understanding of accessibility codes, life‑safety codes, northern building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; preferable experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp. Proactive action without continuous guidance. Strong time‑management and prioritization skills. Team player with clients, project teams, and contractors. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Willingness to travel to Yellowknife and/or Whitehorse at least once per quarter. Education and Experience

Qualified degree in Architecture and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Registered or able to become registered within one year as an Architect with a Canadian Architects Association. Preferential credentials include LEED Green Associate or LEED AP, Lean project management or PMP, Contract Administration, Certified Specification Writer, and/or Building Science or Technical qualifications. Primary location: Yellowknife, Whitehorse, or Iqaluit. Willing to relocate or travel to small communities as required. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered. Occasional field work may involve exposure to inclement weather. Pay and Benefits

Pay Range:

Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario: $102,600.00 - $153,900.00 annually. Final compensation based on education, qualifications, experience, and location.
