Shape AI-powered legal research through KeyCite, leading platform modernization, distributed systems, and production machine learning at Thomson Reuters.This Senior Manager, AI Engineering role combines hands-on architecture with leadership across AI, backend, platform, and data engineering. You will partner with Product, Editorial, Research, and AI teams to evolve a foundational Westlaw capability. The work addresses complex legal information workflows using generative AI, machine learning, and traditional software.Key Responsibilities:
Partner across teams on KeyCite strategy and technical roadmapsGuide generative AI and machine learning capabilities into productionImprove platform processing, publishing, services, and delivery speedApply AI with researchers and legal domain expertsRemove blockers and strengthen cross-functional engineering relationshipsRequirements:
10+ years experience with 7+ years software engineeringPeople management experience with teams of 10 or moreProficiency in Python, Java, backend, and distributed systemsStrong AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud experienceExperience modernizing reliable existing systemsBring engineering management, cloud, and AI production expertise to modernize KeyCite for accurate professional legal information.
