Construction Safety Director at Accenture

Drive safety excellence with Accenture as a Construction Safety Director on the Scarborough Subway Extension. Lead cultural change towards a proactive safety environment while ensuring compliance. In this pivotal role, you'll provide strategic leadership and assurance in Health, Safety, and Wellbeing across significant construction projects. Key aspects of the position include integrating safety requirements, promoting a culture of psychological safety, and collaborating across teams to strengthen overall health and safety practices. You'll also be accountable for developing comprehensive safety strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance throughout project phases. Key Responsibilities:

Lead visible safety culture initiatives within project teams
Collaborate to resolve cross-functional HSW challenges
Develop and maintain comprehensive safety strategies
Monitor HSW performance using key metrics
Ensure contractors comply with safety standards

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering or related field
15+ years of infrastructure/construction experience
Proven leadership in multi-stakeholder environments
Strong knowledge of Ontario H&S legislation
Familiarity with integrated delivery models preferred
