Controller Part Time

Job Responsibility:

The Part-Time Controller will oversee the financial performance of the company, ensuring accurate accounting practices and financial statements, The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and finance and interested in working 1 - 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Review monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Quarterly Reporting to the Board of Directors
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight: Ensure the timely processing of accounts payable and receivable and manage collections.
• Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax and employment laws.
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by the executive team.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the financial coordinator and other team members

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, with prior experience in a controller or similar role.
• Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP, proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), advanced Excel skills, and excellent analytical abilities.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
