Software Engineer - Frontend

Responsibilities

• Build AI-native agent chat interfaces and make ambient-agent work visible and reviewable.
• Create complex diagrams of entity structures and interfaces that clarify multi-decade projections and their implications.
• Own frontend architecture, including component patterns, Apollo cache, state management, performance, and shared primitives.
• Partner closely with product designers and the Head of Design from the early stages of product development.
• Implement polished empty states, loading behavior, keyboard paths, and other interaction details.
• Ship frequently, collaborate with customers and subject-matter experts, and take ownership of product outcomes.

Requirements

• Four or more years of software engineering experience, most of it in frontend work, at companies with strong engineering practices.
• Strong frontend capability in either visual and interaction craft or component systems and data flow.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo, and Playwright is useful; curiosity can substitute for experience with any of these tools.
• Enough backend experience to shape the API being consumed.
• Strong attention to quality, performance, animation smoothness, and interaction details.
• Curiosity about trusts, estate planning, and transfer tax.
• Clear communication in a distributed team environment.
