Machine Operator

SLB is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, positive, and hard-working individual to join our team in Nisku, Alberta . The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in the production/repair of power section stator, a critical component of downhole hydraulic motors. This role supports efficient production operations by performing manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, following established procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with team members.
• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
• Manufacturing and repair of power section stators and related components used in drilling operations.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance activities.
• Identify and report equipment issues, process deviations, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in failure investigations and corrective actions when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, and product quality.
• Follow SLB's quality, health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Diploma or technical training in Machining, Industrial Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or production environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Experience operating manufacturing or industrial equipment is preferred.
• Forklift & Overhead crane certification and experience are considered an asset.
• 5th class or higher Power Engineering certification is considered an asset.
• Flexibility to work overtime as operational needs require.
• Demonstrated adaptability, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
• Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
