Are you the one we’re looking for?

We are seeking a highly motivated Relief Client Care Worker who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment; to our clients, families, and each other.

The Client Care Worker will be working in Wesley’s Supportive Housing Program to support 10 adults living with a dual diagnosis. In this position, you will be scheduled based on your availability and staffing needs within a 24-hour residence.

This is a unionized ,  relief  position . The rate of pay is $20.94 per hour ; scheduled on as-needed basis .

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide specialized and individual services to individuals with complex needs, behavioral and mental health challenges in a residential setting.


2. Offer crisis intervention as appropriate; using safety plans, care plans, emergency intervention, and on-call as appropriate.


3. Support clients as needed activities of daily living, life skills, and recreation.


4. Regular checks on clients to ensure they remain safe and stable.


5. Cleaning of the program common areas, and any preparation that can be completed to assist in the following shifts.


6. Documentation such as case notes, med documentation, and cash counts.


7. Client medication administration and basic health monitoring.


8. Team meeting attendance, communication, and shift change documentation.


9. To interact with clients in a dignified and professional manner acknowledging their strengths and following a client-centered approach.

What you will bring:

1. Post-secondary degree/diploma in Social Services, or relevant equivalent required.


2. Current First Aid/CPR and NVCI certifications.


3. Experience, effectively working with marginalized populations and a demonstrated ability to form rapport with target populations preferably in a residential setting.


4. Knowledge of complex mental health diagnoses and experience with med administration is an asset.


5. Experience providing client-centered services within a multi-disciplinary team of providers.
