Baker

Knead Bakeshop is a growing, community-focused artisan bakeshop dedicated to crafting high-quality, thoughtfully made products. We take pride in organic ingredients, traditional techniques, and creating a welcoming customer experience. As we grow, we are looking for a passionate baker to help elevate our bread program and support our expanding bakery offering.

This position reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with the broader Knead team to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and an exceptional customer experience in our open bakery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily and weekly bake schedules to meet retail and wholesale needs

• Ensure consistency in product quality, appearance, and taste

• Develop new and seasonal bread offerings for the bakery, markets, and sandwich program

• Collaborate on monthly features and special items

• Stay current on artisan baking trends and techniques

• Support production of pastries, bars, and dessert items as needed

• Assist with prep and scaling for broader bakery needs

• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of baked goods

• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards at all times

• Support light cleaning and overall organization of the bakery space

• Maintain a professional, positive presence in the open bakery environment

• Engage with customers when appropriate
