Lead Software Engineer in Modernization

Transform legacy applications as a Lead Software Engineer with IAA. Leverage your expertise in modern development to contribute to a collaborative engineering environment focused on quality and scalability. This role requires a seasoned professional to guide application modernization and manage complex architectural designs. You will work closely with Principal Engineers and architects, ensuring modular services support high-volume workflows. Leading the initiative in implementing modern data-access strategies will be vital, along with embedding robust observability practices into applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead modernization of legacy .NET applications
- Design scalable, modular APIs and services
- Implement data-access patterns and schema migrations
- Enforce code quality and testing standards
- Support cross-team strategic initiatives
- 8+ years in software engineering, focusing on modernization
- Proven experience at a Staff or Principal Engineer level
- Strong skills in C# and .NET Core
- Hands-on experience in production environments
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering talent
