Project Coordinator - Road Construction (Seasonal Students)

As part of our continuing growth, we are looking for a Project Coordinators to join our team to help in the day-to-day coordination and execution of our company’s construction projects. This position reports directly to the Project Manager and is a field-based position on multiple active construction sites.

Employment season May - Nov.

Responsibilities 

• Assist the Project Manager/Superintendent in establishing, communicating, and tracking project schedules; coordinate with superintendents and subtrades to ensure work is completed on time and in accordance with contract requirements.
• Collect, verify, and maintain quantity measurements, site records, and test results; prepare supporting documentation and reports for Project Manager review.
• Monitor project deliverables to ensure crews and subtrades complete work on budget and to required specifications and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subtrades; attend site meetings and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders on project progress.
• Ensure site operations comply with all safety regulations and project requirements (e.g., traffic management plans, environmental plans, site occupancy plans); perform regular site inspections and work with support staff to maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Requirements

• Preference given to graduate or current student of a recognized post-secondary program related to civil engineering or construction management.
• Preference given to candidates with PMP designation. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in a wide range of situations. 
• Must be proficient in the use of computers, project management software, and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint.) 
• Strong organization, time management and people management skills; capable of operating independently with minimal direction.
• Must have a driving record free of major infractions and less than 6 demerits.

Pay Scale $22 - $28 per hour
