We are currently looking for an Intermediate Software Developer (Backend) to join our team

What you can expect in this role:

Under the supervision of the Lead developer, the developer is responsible of supporting the team in all projects related to developing and improving the functionality of the systems in place. He is taking ownership of his proposition and developing suggested solutions with the support of his supervisor and the Bitfarm's IT team. Bitfarms is a global company, and the duties of this position require frequent collaboration with colleagues, teams and partners based outside Quebec.

More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:

• Taking an active part in the internal practice of writing, analyzing, reviewing and rewriting clean C# & Python.
• Use Git to manage the code base and collaborate with the development team.
• Design, code, test, and debug software modules in C# and Python responsible for data collection and manipulation.
• Contribute to the design and development of data-oriented databases using MySQL.
• Participate in a weekly meeting with the IT team to discuss progress and feature requests/corrections Ensure the reliability and maintainability of codebase through regular updates and bug fixes.
• Collaborate with team members from various departments to determine project specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with existing systems.
• All other related tasks

Here's the profile we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development in fast growing company
• At least 3 years of experience in C# and Python
• In-depth experience with MySQL or other relational databases
• Some experience with PHP/JS/HTML/CSS & Laravel or other MVC frameworks
• Ability to work comfortably in a Linux environment.

• Work schedule: 40 h/week, Monday to Friday
• Hybrid/remote possible
