About the Role
The Real Estate and Property department are looking for an auxiliary Properties Clerk to join their team. The incumbent will provide specialized, technical legal and administrative support work to the Real Estate and Properties Department.

In this role you will:

• Draft, prepare and process a variety of documents related to land sales, acquisitions, leases, licenses, rentals, rights of way, easements and maintain documentation standards established by the District and the Land Titles Office
• Complete administrative tasks including tracking legal agreements, coding invoices, drafting correspondence, responding to general enquires, filing and other general administrative duties
• As required, coordinate, direct and provide instruction to staff engaged in clerical and typing duties in the preparation of documents and correspondence.
• Explain applicable policies, procedures, requirements, regulations and forms to a variety of external applicants and internal District staff, including Land Title Office procedures/ requirements, Land Title documentation, District land policy and procedures.
• Conduct specialized research on a variety of matters including property history and be responsible for implementing and maintaining file tracking procedures.
• Work with minimal supervision and exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment to ensure accuracy and completeness of work performed.

The successful applicant will possess:

• Considerable knowledge of real estate and Land Title Office procedures, forms, documents and legal terminology governing the development, leasing, licensing, subdivision and conveyance of land is required.
• Excellent command of business English, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and customer services skills and a demonstrated ability to conduct research on a variety of topics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Outlook, document management and LTSA procedures is essential for success.

Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by graduation from a recognized legal administrative assistant/legal assistant program plus considerable related paralegal and administrative experience in the processing of legal documentation and conveyancing procedures or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Details
Salary: The pay range for this unionized position is $37.09 to $43.65 per hour (2026 rates) plus 12% in lieu of all benefits.
