We are seeking a passionate & experienced Director of Childcare to lead one of our Childcare Centers in Regina for a one-year term appointment. The successful candidate will be well versed in the applicable federal & provincial legislation & agreements in place for the safety & management of childcare centers such as the Child Care Regulations, 2015 as well as Section 14 of the regulations, Philosophy & Program.Job :
Accountable for day-to-day operations & decision making for a center serving approximately 90 children.
Accountable for overseeing approximately 20 staff, & for the successful delivery of a high-quality early learning programming for children, while implementing the vision & principles of Play & Exploration such as: Early Learning Program Guide & the JUS Philosophy.
Responsible for ensuring all YMCA Playing to Learn program requirements are met while complying with the Ministry of Education Regulations & National YMCA Child Protection Standards.
Supports the professional development of employees & requires expertise, experience & skill with early learning principles & adult learning, in order to provide leadership & ensure positive outcomes for children. Job Requirements:
Early Childhood Education Level III Certification.
Minimum 3-5 years childcare experience & managing a team.
Exceptional communication skills & interpersonal skills.
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check prior to first day of work and dated no more than 3 months before hire date.
Current Standard First Aid, CPR
Play and Exploration Training is considered an asset
