Each brand benefits from the global scale and shared best practices that come from ownership by Restaurant Brands International Inc.Job Summary:The Senior Manager of Operations Excellence plays a critical role in supporting franchise partners and ensuring that Firehouse Subs has clearly defined and executable standards and processes. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, developing training programs, and implementing brand standards that align with business objectives. The position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to improve guest satisfaction, enhance franchisee profitability, and uphold brand consistency across restaurants.RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week at our Toronto, Canada office.What You’ll Own:Product Development & Implementation SupportLead the planning, testing, and evaluation of new products, defining operating standards and procedures.Develop recommendations based on product feasibility, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.Create tools and metrics to support the flawless execution of brand initiatives, tracking key performance indicators to evaluate operational success.Standards & Procedures ManagementIdentify, test, and implement process or system enhancements that streamline operations, boost efficiency, and support profitability.Oversee core business categories, such as Breakfast, Beverages, and Lunch, and ensure compliance with established brand standards.Manage the brand operations manual, ensuring alignment across all platforms and standardized materials.Execution of Brand InitiativesCollaborate with Field Operations and other departments to ensure timely and effective implementation of brand initiatives.Develop risk mitigation plans and execute them to prevent bottlenecks and disruptions during national launches and promotional events.Lead the communication of ad hoc changes, ensuring clarity and consistency across all levels of the organization.Lead project management for brand initiatives, including technology and new equipment rollouts, coordinating stakeholders and supporting effective implementation across restaurants.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder EngagementWork closely with external stakeholders, including franchisees and vendors, and internal partners in Operations, Marketing, and Training to facilitate seamless execution.Manage new franchisee onboarding in partnership with Training and training restaurants, helping franchisees prepare to operate in alignment with brand standards.Work closely with the Marketing team to coordinate and execute calendar initiatives across restaurants.Influence key stakeholders by presenting clear, data-driven insights and recommendations, driving alignment on operational goals.Serve as a primary point of contact for escalations related to brand standards compliance, working to uphold operational excellence.Continuous Improvement & InnovationConduct in-depth analysis to identify root causes of performance gaps and develop strategies to address them.Leverage RBI’s Problem-Solving Methodology and apply analytical insights to improve Profit and Loss (P&L) and Return on Investment (ROI) metrics.Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance restaurant management tools, processes, and training programs.What Ingredients You’ll Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.7+ years of experience in large-scale restaurant operations, with a solid understanding of the QSR industry.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), with familiarity in data visualization tools such as Tableau.Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and create actionable plans to address operational issues and improve performance.Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams and franchise partners.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and navigate large, matrixed organizations.Willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis to support field operations, conduct training sessions, and implement brand standards.Salary:Base salary range of $130,000 – $150,000 CAD. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills.This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics.
