The General Labourer will play a vital role in supporting a busy moving company by assisting with physical tasks such as heavy lifting, loading, and equipment handling. Working primarily within a medium-sized team and reporting directly to a supervisor, this role demands physical stamina, a Class 5 driver’s license, and a strong focus on safety and efficiency. The position requires occasional travel to various job sites and a commitment to working safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting and ensure safe handling of items
- Load and unload materials and equipment efficiently
- Operate and manage equipment related to moving tasks
- Comply with safety protocols and company policies
- Engage in physical labor to support team objectives
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Travel regularly to various job sites as required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Physical stamina suited for heavy lifting and manual labor
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and consistently
- Strict adherence to safety compliance standards
- Strong time management skills
- Quick learner able to adapt to job requirements
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
