General Construction Labourer

Staffmax is assisting our client in hiring dependable and hardworking General Construction Labourers for a 3-month contract. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, safety-focused, and looking to gain valuable experience on active construction sites—both residential and commercial.
Contract Length: 3 MonthsLocation: Edmonton, AB
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload building materials and distribute them around the job site
Assist skilled tradespeople with tools, equipment, and general site duties
Operate hand tools and small construction equipment as required
Help with site setup, demolition, and post-project cleanup
Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized work environment
Adhere to all on-site health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE
Report safety hazards, site concerns, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction or general labour is an asset
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, working outdoors, and performing repetitive tasks
CSA-approved steel-toe boots are required
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Able to follow instructions and maintain a safety-first mindset
