Seek a Back End Developer role in Toronto, ON with a hybrid work model. Leverage skills in AWS, Java, and Spring Boot for backend service development. This position requires 8–10 years of professional experience focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services, specifically with Java REST web services. You’ll build cloud-native architectures using AWS along with Docker and AWS Fargate to deploy containerized applications. Working with cross-functional teams, you will collaborate to define and ship new features while ensuring code quality through reviews. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs
- Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker
- Develop infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation
- Implement authentication with Amazon Cognito and OAuth2/JWT
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues
- 8–10 years of backend development experience
- Proficiency in AWS Cloud Computing and Spring Boot
- Knowledge of Docker and REST APIs
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Strong understanding of unit and integration testing
