Financial Controller CPA

A Quebec-based green energy manufacturing company is seeking a Financial Controller CPA to join its finance team.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will act as a key expert in accounting and finance in a hands-on role, combining analysis, guidance, and active participation in financial operations.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in monthly closings;
• Supervise and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses;
• Ensure the integrity of financial information and controls;
• Participate in treasury management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis variance analysis;
• Contribute to manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and cost variance analysis;
• Improve accounting and financial processes and collaborate with operational teams.

Desired Profile:

• CPA, with a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field;
• Approximately 10 years of relevant experience , particularly as a controller or assistant controller;
• Significant experience in a manufacturing environment ;
• Excellent command of the accounting cycle, Canadian Accounting Standards (CAS), cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, and cash management;
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with ERP systems and big data;
• Analytical mindset, autonomy, and rigor and a solutions-oriented approach.
