ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager – Quality, this position has a key role in fostering a just culture within the organization. The Coordinator – Client Safety works in collaboration with the clinical teams to plan, develop, implement, educate, and evaluate client safety practices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.

WHAT YOU BRING
Education/Experience:- Baccalaureate degree in a related science (Master's degree preferred)
- Specialized education/certification/experience in client safety
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience with performance measurement and healthcare reporting systems including incident management systems
- Extensive knowledge of current legislation governing health care facilities (Public Hospital Act Mental Health Act LTCHA QCIPA PIPEDA FIPPA ECFAA the Coroners' Act) and health and safety legislation
Skills/Abilities:
- Self-directed effective collaborator and an efficient problem-solver
- Demonstrated leadership project management skills
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Education/ training skills
- Excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Novell Meditech MED e-Care and MS Office including Word Excel Publisher and PowerPoint
Assets:
- Risk Management education and/or certification
- Quality Improvement education and/or certification
Conditions of Employment:
- Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
