Job Responsibility:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The OpenText Developer and Support Analyst is responsible for break / fix support for OpenText Content Server platform, system administration for OpenText, development and enhancement work for OpenText, upgrading / patching for OpenText, quality assurance and technical documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to):
· OpenText application (Content Server, Extended ECM, Records Management, Physical Objects, AGA, Email Management, OTDS, Archive Center, InfoFussion, Auto-Classification/Magellan, Process Suite/AppWorks, Invoice Capture Center, Imaging Enterprise Scan, Vendor Invoice Management, etc.) install and configuration.
· Application upgrade, patching and migration.
· Application administration
· Design, develop and maintain new applications, forms, reports, templates, and workflows.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, system failure, technical errors, or other problems technical in nature. Identify root causes, work on bugs/fixes (with vendors as needed) and implement quality solutions.
· Collaborate on requirements and solution design.
· Modify, enhance, and create solutions to meet business requirements in accordance with design specifications, development and documentation standards and quality requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Education & Certifications
· Computer Engineering / Computer Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.
General
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· A degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline or an equivalent mix of education and experience
· Formal OpenText training
· Possess a minimum of 5 year's experience:
o In a system administration IT role
o Developing for the OpenText Content Server platform (using Content Server Web Services, REST APIs, OScript) including experience working with workflows, content server widgets, active view, workspaces, web reports, web forms and templates.
o Has experience in all phases of System Development Lifecycle (requirements, designs, build, test deploy)
o Java or .NET development experience with good knowledge of Object-oriented programming concepts
o Developing with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XLM and SQL
o Configuring and managing web/application servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, etc.)
o Administering and supporting other OpenText products (Archive Center, OTDS, InfoFusion, Auto-Classification/Magellan, Process Suite/AppWorks, etc.)
o Data modelling and analysis.
· Content Server Solution Developer Certification
· Content Server System Administrator Certification
· Archive Center Administrator Certification
· Extended ECM for SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Certification
· Extended ECM for Microsoft Office 365 Administrator Certification
· Process Platform Administrator Certification
· Experience supporting and administrating Invoice Capture Center, Imaging Enterprise Scan and Vendor Invoice Management
· Experience supporting and administrating Autodesk product suite.
· Experience supporting and administrating Varonis product suite.
· Knowledge of software development standards and best practice approaches
· Exposure to Agile development methodology
· Testing best practice knowledge
· Experience creating and executing tests to successfully ensure high product quality.
· Experience writing technical documentation.
· Operational knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Ability to perform multiple duties concurrently with attention to detail and quality.
· Ability to prioritize and manage work.
· Ability to proactively monitor and communicate for timely escalation of issues.
· Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
· Ability to work independently, and as part of a team as needed.
