Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, invites entrepreneurial-minded individuals to apply for the Department Manager in Training position. This position is an integral leadership role within the Freson Bros. (Fresh Market) - Stony Plain, Alberta store and Freson Bros. company.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of management experience in the retail food industry
• A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a retail environment
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
• Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
• A passion for leading and developing others
• Ability to work different shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead department harmoniously to:
• Create positive customer experiences
• Increase profitability and reach the goals and objectives of each department
• Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record and invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts
• Schedule Team Members to ensure that customer needs are met
• Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed
• Implement effective recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team
• Complete performance reviews, departmental reports, etc. to gauge progress throughout the store
• Train, develop, and motivate Team Members
• Resolve customer and Team member concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience
• Champion the Freson Bros. Brand and culture by modelling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth

Position Details:

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Location: Stony Plain, AB
• Salary: $45,000 - $60,000
