Job Responsibility:
Terralog Technologies Inc. (TTI) is a clean energy geomechanics service company based in Calgary, focused on developing and implementing innovative clean technologies for sustainable energy resource development.
We are currently seeking a Technical Data Coordinator'. This position will be a supporting role for the engineering team. It is an exciting learning opportunity, providing extensive on-the-job training and hands-on experience with international environmentally sustainable projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Team Leader, Technical Services Group, the job responsibilities are:
- Data collection and download from various sources.
- Data processing and providing engineering/technical support work.
- Preliminary engineering data analysis.
- Plotting of data and updating master plots files in Excel.
- Generate plots in a variety of engineering software applications (using Python and Database Management System)
- Archiving of data.
- Perform other data management functions as requested by engineering staff.
- Other related duties may be assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Petroleum Engineering technologist diploma preferred.
- Background knowledge and 3-5 years of experience in the petroleum industry.
- Ability to work with a high degree of flexibility in response to changing or modified work procedures when required.
- Demonstrated experience with engineering software applications, such as GeoScout.
- Proven experience in data processing with a variety of data types (LAS, ASCII, Excel and text files).
- Handle large volumes of data in a quick, efficient manner.
- Work independently using sound judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Available to start immediately.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,267.68-$75,914.13 per year
