About the position

The Full Stack Web Developer is responsible for researching, recommending, and implementing solutions to ensure that Quadient's web infrastructure remains stable, scalable and sustainable over time. This position is responsible for the successful implementation of web technologies and web infrastructure to efficiently promote Quadient's brand and products to prospects and customers across the World.

As a member of the global web team, this role supports web developers in finding solutions to emerging web requirements using Drupal-based technologies. The Full Stack Web Developer reports to the Web Technology Leader, who is based in Paris, France.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Improve the efficiency of the existing web infrastructure by updating DevOps tools to fit modern standards.

• Ensure the web infrastructure (Virtual Machines) is maintained and up to date to deliver optimal performance for Quadient's websites across all.

• Implement an efficient testing framework to test new features of our websites.

• Assist in the configuration of web server settings.

• Recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions.

• Provide support to our current full-stack web developer on Drupal backend challenges.

• Interact with the team to gather, define, and analyze requirements to determine the most effective web technologies to satisfy business needs.

Technical Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in back-end development with the Drupal framework and in web infrastructure.

• Strong expertise in setting up DevOps tools and testing frameworks.

• Strong expertise with Linux, Bash and relational databases such as MySQL/MariaDB.

• Experience with Virtual Private Clouds.

• Experience with web development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.

• Strong working knowledge of and hands-on experience with modern programming languages, including PHP 8/Symfony.

• Experience with CI/CD (Continuous improvement tools and web development tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, and Docker - automating code deployments.

• Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology and Tools such as Jira.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Vue.js or a similar modern JavaScript framework.

• Experience with Node.js.

• Experience with PaaS, such as DigitalOcean.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field of study preferred.
