THE ROLE
- The Director, FP&A, will play a critical leadership role in shaping MegaFood’s financial strategy. This position will lead the company’s planning, forecasting, and performance analysis activities, while partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Quality.
- The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with a hands-on, mission-aligned mindset and experience within consumer products, health & wellness, or supplements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Planning & Strategic Support: lead the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Develop financial models to support growth initiatives, capacity planning, and strategic investments
- Deliver SKU-level and product portfolio profitability analysis
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate pricing, promotions, and channel profitability (DTC, retail, wholesale, e-commerce/marketplaces)
- Analyze and optimize marketing spend ROI, trade spend, and customer acquisition investments
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on COGS analysis, ingredient cost variability, manufacturing efficiency, and freight optimization
- Support demand planning, inventory management, and working capital efficiency
- Model financial impacts related to sourcing, formulation changes, and packaging initiatives
- Executive Reporting & Insights: prepare and present executive dashboards, KPIs, variance analysis, and board-ready materials
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance leaders
- Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team
- Continuously improve forecasting accuracy, financial processes, and data quality
- Enhance FP&A tools, systems, and automation to support a growing organization
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred)
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance
- Experience in CPG, Vitamins/Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food & Beverage, or Health & Wellness strongly preferred
- Proven leadership experience and people development
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain finance
- Experience with ERP and FP&A tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Adaptive, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence

SALARY RANGE
National Target Base Pay Range: $143,000.00 - $239,000.00 . The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $159,000 - $265,000 , to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
