Credit Manager, Agriculture

Your Role

• Analyze, authorize, or recommend agricultural and agri‑food credit files, while respecting risk appetite and policies.
• Collaborate with business lines to provide quick responses to financing requests.
• Support account managers as an advisor and coach in structuring credit.
• Monitor loan portfolios and proactively recommend improvements.
• Identify and implement quality control strategies to strengthen portfolio integrity.
• Participate in credit committees and various initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies and act as a change champion to improve tools and processes.

You will report to the National Senior Director, Agricultural Credit Risk , and be part of a strong national team committed to supporting agrifinance partners across the country. We offer flexible work arrangements, including a hybrid model and adjustable hours to support work-life balance.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, agroeconomics, or business administration, with at least 7 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in agricultural and commercial finance
• Professional agronomist designation is an asset
• Ability to make autonomous credit decisions under pressure
• Proven leadership in credit strategy and change management
• Experience in portfolio management and risk monitoring
• Knowledge of business banking products
• Demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills
• Collaboration, adaptability, and effectiveness within diverse teams and stakeholders
