Lead agentic AI architecture at Robots & Pencils, using Python, AWS, and production-focused engineering judgment across end-to-end systems.As a Staff AI Builder, you will lead AI/ML system design, model development, optimization, and integration. You will guide architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and shape reliable, secure, scalable systems. Your work spans agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, evaluation, observability, and cloud-native services.Key Responsibilities:
Design agentic workflows across single-agent and multi-agent architecturesBuild RAG pipelines with embeddings, OpenSearch, and re-rankingIntegrate AWS Bedrock, Agent Core, and MCP-based toolsDevelop production prompts, evaluations, guardrails, and tracingOwn features, releases, debugging, hardening, and production reliabilityRequirements:
Six-plus years of professional software engineering experienceProduction experience shipping GenAI or LLM-powered systemsHands-on depth with tool calling and agent orchestrationPractical RAG expertise, including vector search and re-rankingExperience with AWS Bedrock, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and EventBridgeShape trustworthy AI systems through agentic architecture, RAG, evaluation, observability, and technical leadership at Robots & Pencils.
