Automotive Parts Department

The Automotive Parts Counter Person helps customers in person and over the phone using a computerized auto parts look-up system to find the right part. In this position you need to be able to stand, smile, and help customers all day.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Meet, greet and thank customers, providing friendly, informed service to customers in person and over the phone
-Guide customers to location of products
-Provide parts order-desk services
-Suggest value-added and related products
-Source and order automotive parts for customers through authorized suppliers
-Follow established procedures regarding the ordering and sale of parts to the Service Department
-Process customer returns and warranties
-Test batteries, starters and alternators
-Stock and maintain shelves and display areas
-Maintain professional appearance (uniform, hygiene, grooming & name tag)
-Follow company, store and department policies
-Participate in meetings and all training, as required
-Complete other tasks, as required
