Senior Pastor

Toronto Community Alliance Church (TCAC) is looking for a senior pastor to give overall leadership to this tri-congregational church located in the east end of downtown Toronto. We desire a pastor who has a heart after God, who has the ability to love, lead, equip, and shepherd, and who is willing to lead our church in the next phase of its journey to follow Christ Jesus and respond to His calling.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Excellent communication skills in English

Spiritual and character maturity

• Love and follow Jesus Christ above all
• Close evident walk and deep relationship with our Lord
• Spirit-empowered life and ministries

Christ-like leadership

• Shepherd the church to respond to Christ’s calling
• Spiritual vision and leadership for the church – Ability to cast, communicate and execute on discerned vision
• Strong interpersonal presence – approachable, warm, and trustworthy

Cross-cultural and multi-generational bridging

• Experience with and sensitivity to multi-cultural and multi-generational setting, team, and ministries
• Strong ability to relate, connect, and unify across cultures and generations

Calling and gifting

• Strong preaching that is biblically faithful, culturally relevant, and contextually applicable
• Gifting and calling to proclaim the Gospel, evangelize relationally, and particularly to engage a secular and urban downtown community
• Strong commitment to holistic discipleship for the whole church

We would strongly prefer someone who has:

• Experience leading or working with multi-staff teams and lay leaders
• Experience with church board and church governance
• Ability to raise, mentor, and empower leaders
• Experience in a multi-congregational or multilingual church setting
• Multi-year experience as a church pastor
• MDiv or equivalent if not higher

It would be nice to have someone who has:

• Ability to speak multiple languages
• Mission field experience is a plus
