Job Responsibility: CAMPION COLLEGE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF REGINA INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF DEAN Campion College is Canada’s only Jesuit undergraduate academic institution. Located in Regina, Saskatchewan and on Treaty 4 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis Nation, it is federated with the University of Regina and provides students with an opportunity to pursue undergraduate degrees in Arts and Sciences as well as in Media, Art, and Performance. The mission of Campion College is focused on the development of the whole person – intellectually, spiritually, socially – for service within society. Campion College seeks a qualified candidate to fill the position of Dean. This position has delegated authority for academic matters by the Board of Regents through the President. The Dean supports and cares for students and academic staff through service of the mission of Campion College. The term of appointment is a five-year renewable period starting July 1, 2026, and includes university benefits. Primary Duties:

• Maintain a negotiated teaching load.
• Manage general and particular academic matters related to the academic staff and students.
• Oversee academic staff, especially in matters of tenure and promotion, as well as in the annual review of their progress.
• Oversee the Registrar’s Office and the Library of Campion College, and—in consultation—assign duties to personnel in these areas.
• Supervise the scheduling of all Campion courses in cooperation with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Chair all meetings of Faculty Forum.
• Appoint an Assistant Dean in consultation with Faculty Forum and the President.
• Participate in the negotiations and administration of the College Agreement with the University of Regina Faculty Association.
• Serve as a member on various councils and committees of the College and of the University as required.
• Maintain the terms, conditions, and spirit of the federated agreement between Campion College and the University of Regina and represent the interests of the College during the revision of any academic agreements with the University.
• Sustain regular contact with the Provost, Associate Vice-President (Academic), Deans, Associate Deans, Directors, and Department Heads of the University and of the Federated Colleges.
• Assist the President, when appropriate, in representing the College in the public forum.
• Assume some responsibilities assigned by the President.
• Submit reports to the Board of Regents of Campion College and attend meetings of the Board
• Participate in meetings with officials from the Ministry of Advanced Education of the Government of Saskatchewan

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will:

• Have a vision and administrative direction for the College and a proven ability to support and promote the mission statement of Campion College.
• Possess knowledge of both the Catholic tradition and Ignatian spirituality with a desire to promote these values, in particular care of the whole person.
• Evidence of the ability to support faculty and staff morale through administrative leadership and demonstrated empathy toward students and employees.
• Hold a PhD in the Liberal Arts, Fine Arts, or Sciences and have a strong and established record of teaching, research, and service.
• Have a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse cross-section of individuals, including the President of Campion College, administrators, and academic staff in other institutions.
• Understand the budgeting process and demonstrate an ability to monitor larger academic budgets.
• Understand academic administrative processes, policies, practices, and agreements relevant to the College, particularly the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the University of Regina Faculty Association.
