- CAT certified training: Additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning## **Job Description:****Major Job Functions*** Troubleshoot and repair and maintain Caterpillar mining equipment* Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs* Large scale overhauls and rebuilds* Component replacements* Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily* Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)* Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team**Qualifications:*** Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification* Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician* Strong field troubleshooting skills on the Caterpillar mining product line required for field based positions* Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract required for field positions**Important Detail:*** This position will work a 14x14 shift, rotating days and nights.* A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable**Union Membership:*** You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
