POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Toronto location is seeking a Sound Operations Coordinator who can work alongside our Managers, Producing team, Mixers, and Assistant mixers. The right candidate is someone Client oriented has great inter-personal skills, is energetic, self-motivated, meticulous with organization and has a good understanding of the demanding complexities of post-production Sound.  

MAIN DUTIES:
The Sound Operations Coordinator will assist in the scheduling of sound projects on the Mix stages and ADR sessions. They will be responsible for the scheduling of operational personnel and technical resources required to meet the needs of projects, as well as communicating the day-to-day activities of each project to ensure that all internal and external personnel working on the project are informed. They will prioritize and reprioritize tasks as needed to accommodate changes in the schedule, work with project Producers to organize and prioritize internal work for the Sound department and organize pre-production meetings with clients and staff to develop, create and maintain Technical Sound Specs for each project. They will also be responsible for the following:

• Provide internal updates on a project’s progress; include status of hours worked, overages and additional services. 
• Prepare documentation for Freelancers and 3 rd Party vendors. 
• Prepare and review documentation to support accurate invoice procedures and vendor payments. 
• Liaise with Producers on Sound Deliverables for each project. 
• Assist in greeting and escorting clients to their Mix stage upon arrival. 
• Provide exceptional customer service to all clients and work together with our team to manage client expectations.  

WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have prior working experience in a client facing Sound Post Production role. They must have a strong understanding of the Post Production workflow for both feature and episodic, through to final mastering and delivery of picture and sound, as well as an understanding of the Post Production scheduling process and the concept of deadlines therein. Additional desired skills include:

• Knowledge of post sound processes; ADR, Foley, Premixing, Mixing, Print Masters, M&E creation. 
• Technical knowledge of sound Mixing and deliverable formats; Stems, 5.1, 7.1, ATMOS, IMAX, DME, etc. 
• Experience with streaming platforms, broadcast networks and international distribution creating completed masters in multiple formats. 
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities under tight deadlines.  
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and an ability to work effectively both unsupervised and collaboratively with internal departments.  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to learn and process information quickly.  
• Possess solid keyboarding skills and a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.  
• Experience with Clickup/MS Teams a plus.  
• Able to work afternoon/evening shift and overtime (weekends) when required.  
• This position is eligible for overtime.
