About this role
We are recruiting for a temporary Accounts Receivable Administrator to join the Finance & Accounting team at our Burnaby head office.
This position reports to the Manager, Accounting with day-to-day direction from the Accounts Receivable Team Lead.
This is a temporary 1 year contract, with the potential for long term, permanent, employment.
Here's how your role will strengthen our team.
Your responsibilities
- Data entry into ERP system
- Record daily deposits
- Follow up with customers regarding cash receipts, credits, over/under payments, and overdue invoices
- Assist Project managers, Service Coordinators, and Customers with AR related inquiries
- Send customer statements monthly
- Assist with credit card fee allocations
- Follow up with customers to ensure correct contact details in our system
- Assist with other Accounts Receivable functions as necessary
Your experience and skills
- High School Diploma. Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field an asset
- 1 year of experience in a similar position or any entry level finance/accounting position an asset
- Strong proficiency using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to work under pressure
- Detail-oriented
- Customer-service driven
- Able to work as a member of a team
- Experience in construction industry accounting, or credit training an asset
