Position Highlights

The Emergency Room RN is responsible for delivering safe, patient-focused care in a dynamic and fast-paced emergency department setting. This role calls for strong clinical expertise, the ability to function independently with minimal supervision, and confident decision-making—particularly when working alongside LPN support.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on ER experience, excellent assessment and critical thinking skills, and the necessary certifications to manage emergency and high-acuity patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver thorough emergency nursing care to patients with diverse and complex conditions..
• Act promptly in emergency situations, ensuring effective patient stabilization.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date patient records in accordance with organizational standards.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Continuously monitor patient conditions, identify potential complications, and respond proactively.
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with an active license from the relevant provincial regulatory authority.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Comfortable practicing in an ER environment with LPN support.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities.
• Capable of working independently and effectively in high-acuity and rural healthcare settings.
